When it comes to aerostructures, Triumph Aerostructures - Vought Aircraft Division triumphs. The aircraft division of parent company Triumph Group is one of the world's largest aerostructures subcontractors, not only for the commercial and military markets, but the business jet sector, as well. It designs and manufactures fuselage subassemblies (doors and panels), nacelles, rudders, wings, and other components. Airbus, Boeing, and Gulfstream are core customers. The division also works on military cargo planes (C-17 and C-130), fighters (F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II), and helicopters (Black Hawk, V-22 Osprey). Formerly Vought Aircraft Industries, the aerostructure maker was acquired by Triumph Group in 2010.
